1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website at straightenupsis.com or booking any services with Straighten Up Sister LLC, doing business as Straighten Up Sis ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services Overview
Straighten Up Sis provides professional home organizing services, including but not limited to in-home organizing sessions, home organizing coaching (DIY), decluttering sessions, and maintenance sessions. All services are provided by Heather and/or any team members operating under the Straighten Up Sis brand. Services are available in-person throughout the state of Utah (based in Davis County) and virtually across the United States.
3. Consultations & Booking
All services begin with a consultation, either in-person or virtual. Consultations are used to assess your space, discuss goals, determine scope, and provide pricing. Booking a consultation does not obligate you to purchase additional services. Consultations may be booked through our website scheduling tool or by contacting us directly.
4. Pricing & Payment
Pricing for in-home services is custom-quoted based on the size and scope of your project. Home Organizing Coaching starts at $100 and varies by space size. All pricing will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins. We will always ask about your budget upfront to ensure there are no surprises.
Additional travel fees may apply for services outside our standard service area. Travel fees will be communicated and agreed upon before any appointment is confirmed.
Payment terms, accepted methods, and any deposit requirements will be outlined during or after your consultation. Full payment is expected upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to in writing.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows without prior communication may forfeit any deposits paid.
6. Supply Purchases
For Full Reset services, we handle all supply shopping on your behalf. The cost of organizing supplies (baskets, bins, labels, etc.) is separate from the service fee and will be discussed and approved before purchase. You will be provided with receipts for all supply purchases. Any unused and returnable supplies can be returned at your request.
7. Your Home & Belongings
We treat your home and belongings with the utmost care and respect. You are always in control of what stays, what goes, and how your space is organized. We will never pressure you to discard anything. Any items you choose to donate or discard will be handled per your instructions. We are not responsible for items once they leave your home for donation or disposal.
8. Liability & Limitation of Liability
While we take every precaution to protect your home and belongings during our sessions, Straighten Up Sister LLC is not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by factors outside our control. By allowing us into your home, you acknowledge that organizing involves moving, sorting, and rearranging items, and minor risks are inherent to the process.
We carry general liability insurance for your protection. If any accidental damage occurs during a session, please notify us immediately so we can address it.
To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Straighten Up Sister LLC for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, sentimental value of items, or emotional distress.
9. Refunds
If you are unsatisfied with your in-home organizing session, please let us know within 48 hours of service completion. We will work with you to make it right, which may include a follow-up visit at no additional charge. Refunds for in-home services are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Home Organizing Coaching services are non-refundable once the custom plan has been delivered. Deposits paid toward scheduled services are non-refundable if cancellation occurs with less than 48 hours' notice (see Section 5).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Straighten Up Sister LLC, its owner, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your decision to donate, discard, sell, or otherwise dispose of any items during or after our services; (b) any inaccurate information you provide to us; or (c) your use of our website in violation of these Terms.
11. Photography & Social Media
With your permission, we may photograph your space before and after our services for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. We will always ask for your consent before taking or sharing any photos. You may decline or revoke permission at any time. No personally identifying information will be shared without your explicit consent.
12. Home Organizing Coaching (DIY) Services
Home Organizing Coaching services are provided remotely. You are responsible for implementing the custom plan we create for you. While we provide detailed guidance, product links, and ongoing support, results may vary depending on your execution. Coaching services are non-refundable once the custom plan has been delivered.
13. Maintenance Sessions
Maintenance sessions are available exclusively to past clients. These sessions are designed to refresh and fine-tune previously organized spaces. Availability and pricing for maintenance sessions will be communicated directly.
14. Affiliate Links & Product Recommendations
Our website and social media channels may contain affiliate links to products we recommend. This means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through one of these links, at no additional cost to you. Our recommendations are based on products we genuinely use and trust. Affiliate relationships do not influence the organizing solutions we recommend for your specific project during paid services.
15. Intellectual Property
All content on our website - including text, images, graphics, logos, and design - is the property of Straighten Up Sister LLC and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without written permission.
16. Third-Party Links & Tools
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party tools (such as scheduling and payment platforms). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites or services.
17. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between you and Straighten Up Sister LLC, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we are unable to reach a resolution, both parties agree to attempt mediation in Davis County, Utah before pursuing any legal action. If mediation is unsuccessful, any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts located in Davis County, Utah.
18. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
19. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles.
